About Us

The purpose of this research division is to conduct basic research on the creation and operation of metaverse space, as well as to conduct interdisciplinary research on various issues necessary for the implementation of this technology in society. We will conduct research on network VR technology that allows the participation of many users, technology that fuses the humanities and sciences related to value circulation and settlement, and VR interface technology that can be accessed by many users, as well as conducting demonstration experiments using an experimental metaverse space in order to practically deploy this research in society. We will systematize the information technology necessary to make the metaverse an effective activity space, which will contribute to the creation of a new society and the strengthening of Japan's international competitiveness.
